Go West drone operators are professional Remotely Piloted Aviation System (RPAS) pilots, certified by Transport Canada and are insured for accidental coverage. Our experience in aviation and videography gives you peace of mind that not only will your project look great, it will also comply with all rules and regulations.

Services Offered
How it Works
Step 1: Contact us via email to hello@gowestdrone.ca, or leave a message on the Contact page and we'll email you. You can also call or text us at 613-219-0855.
Step 2: Tell us about your project. What do you want to showcase? Where is it located? Would you like a custom video in addition to the captured content?
Step 3: We'll schedule a no cost consultation to talk about the details and location. Expect 20 minutes for the consult.
Step 4: On the day of the engagement, we'll arrive and perform a thorough pre-flight assessment to ensure we understand exactly what you want filmed, and identify any safety hazards. After launching, our drone pilots will perform maneuvers to capture or inspect your scene. Expect about 2 hours per engagement. We hope you can join us at the shoot to give us access and point out features, but your participation is not required for the entire time.
Step 5: 24 hours after an engagement we'll provide you all of the content in an easy to consume .zip file. If you'd like us to curate a professional looking video for you, we will typically provide it within 2-3 days.
At Go West we offer three types of services:
Standard Shoots: For most private shoots/inspections within a 30 minute vicinity of Almonte
Custom Shoots: Shooting of events that are advertised to the public, or require additional time, permits or travel
Video Editing: Optional video editing to create a compelling shareable video
A Standard Shoot includes:
A 20 minute no cost, no commitment, consultation with a drone pilot to understand your project
30 minutes of travel time from Almonte
A 2 hour shoot, including time for a pre-flight assessment, and time to capture your project from multiple angles
A downloadable zip file of all content (mp4, 4K) within 24 hours
A Custom Shoot includes:
Everything in the Standard Shoot, plus
Additional time for consulting, travel, obtaining permits, and shooting during the event.
Note that shoots of advertised events require a special permit from Transport Canada, which should ideally be submitted 30 days before the event, but can often be processed faster. Please contact us to discuss your needs and we can provide a quote.
Video Editing:
For an additional charge, our video editors can also create a custom video, similar to our gallery examples, that are ideal for sharing on social media or business websites. This service combines the best clips, with vibrant color grading, and timed to music making it ideal for sharing with friends or customers.
All the content is yours. If you want to keep it private you can. If you'd like us to help you share it with your friends, or social media, we are happy to help.
What should I expect to pay?
Rates for a standard shoot are a fixed price of $300.
Custom shoots vary in price depending on complexity, travel time and permits required.
Video Editing is $200 per video. Subsequent edits are $50 per request.
